  A dragonewt of the Seine and protector of the town of Rouen. When Romanus had Rouen razed to the ground, the Gargouille could do nothing but watch as the residents choked and burned. In his grief, he lost his mind and went on a rampage across the countryside.

  Consumed by rage, the Gargouille swore revenge on Romanus. He would tear him apart, burn him alive, choke the life from his body—the same fate to which he'd condemned the people of Rouen. And just like that, the Seine's gentle guardian became a terrible monster.
